Royal College of General Practitioners

This is a series of full day workshops commissioned by the Royal College of General Practitioners specifically focussed on the ‘business’ aspects of General Practice. The series is aimed at GPs and practice managers and is delivered by two specialists in this field, Mike Gilbert a Specialist Medical Accountant and Jim Milligan a former BMA Assistant Secretary. The series has been developed from a training programme delivered in Scotland and Northern Ireland – the evaluations from this initial programme showed that the training was welcomed by GPs, who after all are self-employed, they run small businesses and they have management responsibilities for finance, staff, premises and equipment.
